I can't help but think there is pus in there. I think @Sandiemouse and @onaharley can probably offer some good advice.

ou SOOO MUCH! I will get the DSMO tomorrow. Is it called DSMO on the bottle?Hi there! You’re doing great! I would keep doing soaks and then get some DMSO at tractor supply- in the cattle or horse section. And apply that after the soaks. Key point to remember is you CANNOT put dmso and the clear iodine on together. Alternate every other day with dmso. Days you don’t use dmso use the clear iodine.
The dmso will help with the swelling on that pad. Try that for a week and see if the black spot gets smaller and the swelling goes down.
You are so very welcome!!I’ll take pic of it in a minute when I go in.Thank y

Thank you! I found out the vetericyn bottle I have had the DSMO ingredients in it, I’m guessing that will work. It was $30...
Alrighty! Successfully completed it! First I soaked his foot (the container wasn't big enough for both feet, oops!) in the Epsom salt + warm water for about 13 minutes, Then I put Vetericyn on it and started rubbing it, then I started to pick the scab off, and then I put him in the water again, then starting picking at it again, then put him in the water again, then started picking at it, and then I started to squeeze the area and I got the kernel out (which by the way had a splinter in it) and then I put Vetericyn on it and let it soak in, then I wrapped his foot, and he's not limping anymore! I will update him tomorrow and show how it looks. Hard puss came out, too.
Unfortunately you didn't get all the bubble out ...... you want get it out all at one time, that I have learned... keep soaking and I put neosporin on Lou lou and user small vet tape. It easier to wrap over the bandage and bet claw
