Just keep up with treatments. I wouldn't go digging inside too much. If the wound is closing and there isn't swelling or redness then it's probably okay. If it's still swollen and red then you should keep up with the soaks and iodine treatments.Went out yesterday to get the clear iodine and applied it after her epsom salt bath. I tried a couple of days ago to peel off the scab but couldn't get much out using the tweezers...I tried to dig into the hard stuff but didn't get much but some blood coming out...I was challenged with wondering how much pain I was causing her and if I was making things worse...I think I would make for a better assistant than the one treating her![]()
