I have a 3 year old polish hen while treating my flock for lice found she has bumblefoot. I have been soaking, wrapping all the things to no avail. It also stresses her to the point I feel its contributing her not healing. The swelling in mostly on the top between her toes. She can walk and is eating and drinking but lays down and sleeps a lot. I know this is controversial BUT I have the Fish Mox meds and am wondering if i can give this to her? To get a vet to even see poultry where I live let along prescribe medications will not happen. I know you could get antibiotics at one point at Tractor Supply but this was stopped at some point. Medication has helped others I know but i cannot get the medication no matter what I do. Any suggestions are welcome.

Do you have photos of her foot - top and bottom?

Giving an oral antibiotic might help with bumblefoot, but generally the infection (kernel) would need to be removed regardless.
