Hello, I'm totally new to bunnies and I was wondering if I could get a male and female and breed them and start a business. Would that work? Or not? Thanks!

Depends on the breed and demand of the breed I have turned mine into a business making $300 a litter. It also depends who your selling to and the quality of ur rabbits.Hello, I'm totally new to bunnies and I was wondering if I could get a male and female and breed them and start a business. that is so true! I mean people have to be prepared to spend ALOT of money no matter how much they get back.Breeding rabbits isn't as easy as some people think it is. Does can be difficult to get bred, babies (or whole litters) can be lost for a lot of reasons. Even when your animals aren't producing, you still have the expense of their feed, hay, water (even if you are on a well, there is the electricity to run it), etc. Plus, you have the time spent cleaning and caring for the rabbits - your time has to be worth something. I've had rabbits for almost 30 years; for me it's just a hobby. I enjoy what I do with them, but by the time you calculate it all out, my rabbits cost more than they make for me most of the time. That is true for most of the rabbit breeders I have known.![]()
