Here are the chicks running around today. I let them run around the chicken pen when I was watching them.
Firsty was loving the sun.








Here they are figuring how to get into the coop:
Minnie was the first one into the coop.


He kept flying into the coop then peeping to the other chicks encouraging them to come in too.

I did a photo shoot with the chicks today. Sadly the chick Firsty was killed by a dog Saturday (4 weeks after she first came home).

Aw... sorry to hear about Firsty... My chicks are hatching today and will be shipping out sometime today, too... Can't wait for them to get here!!!

Cool what breeds are they?

I have Barred Rock, Light Brahma, and RIR hens so it could be any of those.

And I have a big red and white rooster (RIR? RSL? GSL?) and two little banty roosters.

So, I'm really not sure what breeds they are.

The first two are black and white and the third is red and white!!

Sooo, exited!!!
