burlap curtain over nest box door

I am building a new chicken coop.
I was wondering if anybody has put burlap over the opening of the nest boxes to keep it a bit darker in there.
I have seen this once and it worked well for that chicken owner but was has anybody else tried it?

I'm sure you could use it if there is enough room for the chicken to avoid it & not get tangled up in it. Mine lay everywhere, the boxes, the floor, on top of the feed bins, etc. so I've never bothered.

I find that if you deep-bed the nest boxes they seem to appreciate the privacy. If you do add curtains you'll need something they can't swallow or in which they can get tangled...
