At this point in time I think that it is very important that politics and economics ARE discussed! These are very important issues that affect all of us! No one can bury thier heads in the sand and pretend there aren't big problems in these areas...people NEED to band together and over come this or gain ideas on how to get through it. The last thing anyone needs is for this topic to be 'banned' from message boards

The problem is that most of the time the difference in opinion winds up getting rude or ridiculous. One of the mods yesterday asked us to find a political website to discuss these issues. I would rather show off pictures of my chickens!

Just one little correction before this thread gets flushed.

The Community Reinvestment Act DID FORCE banks to give huge numbers of loans to people who could not pay them back.

If they didn't make a certain percentage of the loans, the bank itself could not borrow money.

I'm not blaming any party... just the ones that start with a "D".
