What type of living conditions do quail need?

What does the meat taste like in comparison with others?

Are the birds large enough that you can dispatch them with an axe or is there a special way with them being so small?

My husband is gonna kill me, first 25 cornish meat birds, then turkeys, now two new zealand rabbit does for raising meat, now I'm going to be wanting some quail!!!! It looks amazing.

Maybe next year...

Yes I do sell eggs....but working on building up my breeding flocks again after selling all my breeders. I can point you in the direction of one breeder in particular on this site though that has some of my original stock.

I have to share something i did and made the best Quail Dinner Ever

I took 2 16 oz Birds Skinned stuffed with Orange i added raised ginger and a little Garlis paprika and salt to taste
Well since my steamer broke i was stuck puttin the Asparugus ontop of the Bread pan i cooked them in the taller pan stops the burning on 400 for 1 hr 15 minutes

and BOOM talk abotu the best flavor PS dont eat the orange throw it away when io told Robby at JMF thinking this was my Own Idea he told me its better Soaked in orange juice over night .

SO i think my next thing ill try them soaked in Coconut milk or Pinapple juice

this does not take the quail flavor away it inhances it and its So Good .
 
Is there anything that can be likened to quail flavor? I can't help but think they may be easier for me to handle and the chickens are pets now
