Butchering quail today!

I'm butchering 4 A&Ms 1 male and 3 females. Is there another way to butcher without beheading? need advice!

I've only seen and heard it being done by snipping the head off...

Snip or pull head off. Both work.

You can try slicing the jugular, but small target. Pellet gun is possible, but don't shoot yourself and they will move a lot. Use a 16 ounce soda bottle for a kill cone. Or snip the end off a 1 gallon ziplock type baggie. Wrap in a towel.

The reason for removing the head is that it is the quickest and easiest way to get them to bleed out quickly.

yes butchering to eat. so I've desided to butcher them by beheading them. I'm going to butcher them after lunch so around 12:00 to 1:00 i will try to post a few pictures if you like.
