Butterscotch pecan cookies

My mom found these in a Taste of Home magazine; saying that they are amazing is an understatement!

1 package PILLSBURY butter recipe golden cake mix
1 package (3.4oz) instant buttertscotch pudding mix
1/4 cup all purpose flour
3/4 cup veg oil
1 egg
1cup chopped pecans

Combine the first five ingredients and then add the pecans.
bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.

Do you bake them as drop cookies?

A baker friend of mine has a foolproof box cake recipe:
add a stick of butter & 1 egg then bake as a pan cookie, like brownies

If you add a cup of flour you can roll the dough into logs and double-bake to make biscotti.

I like Taste of Home but it's too pricy for me to buy.
I read old copies when I visit a friend who subscribes & saves them.
Do they ever post the recipes online?

Yes, bake them as drop cookies, not pan cookies. I would have taken a pic, but somehow they all vanished and the cookie jar is empty

And IDK if they put them online or not. I think my grandma buys a subscritption for my mom each year for xmas, that's why she gets them.
