button quail eggs. please help

Don't worry. Mine were still even when being candled. They don't have much room left for them to wiggle around plus they're using a lot of energy preparing themselves to hatch so they take long breaks. They'll pip out of nowhere and surprise you. With mine they all piped the same time and I read that it could take up to 24 hrs to completely hatch so I wasn't expecting any excitement for a while but within 20 minutes of pipping I checked and there was my first chick! The others didn't hatch until about 10 hrs later and they came one after the other. They hatch on their own terms so all we can really do is wait.

Ok thank you for the advice i was getting so worried. I cancelled them gently and two look good but have very little room but sadly the 3rd died... it looks like the air sack broke. No veins no movement

I would leave it in just to be safe. Before they hatch they break through the membrane separating them and the air sac to start conditioning their lungs to breathe air. They also absorb all the blood in the veins lining the egg wall. They do this right before hatching. That may be why you do not see any veins.

Its 8am went to check my eggs n saw this! Looks like it's breaking through! But neither of the eggs are rocking or anything like I've seen in videos. Is this normal? Are they ok? And only one has this little crack
