If you want email me your address and I can try to ship some Button eggs to you so you can try again. I just wont be able to ship until the end of the week...ya know on payday...lol.

Mrs Fuffy Puffy, yes those are the 3 that hatched and have made it...my cat killed two (yes very bad kitty) & one hatched then shortly died so out of my 13 eggs I had 7 non-fertile eggs. This was my very time hatching any thing PLUS my Buttons have just started laying so I feel this was a success.

EggHunter how much do you want for shipping. I sure do apperciate it alot. Im glad that we have each other to look out for each other. Im just mad because I shared these supposly fertile eggs and they didnt hatch either and werent fertile. And that makes me look bad. I feel like crying

yeah i posted on here saying I contacted the seller..

They hatch around the time of day you set them? Seems to make sense.

I had set 31 eggs in about 18 days ago.

I just hatched out eight little fuzzies two days ago -- right on time! Then one hatched today in between 3-4 PM. I hear a few more in there peeping in the shells.

(I am guilty of adding in a few late eggs.)

I found the whole second tray in the back to be clear! All green -- no dark. No development whatsoever, but not rotten either.

I am just thrilled to have some more to add to my ever growing quail town....soon to be city.

I hope yours come out soon --

I will post some pics here.... these are some of my second hatchlings below. Only 1 girl out of 7...I think. There is another tank of 6 also. Still have to get the genders figured in that one.

These guys are from my first batch! They just started laying eggs. I have 3 females. I have 1 male for keeps named Dum that lives with those two. 6 others were adopted already...4 I think are females. I currently have 4 males left to home. It's hard to let them go...

At least the 6 I homed for starters are with friends of mine so I can spy!

I have a bachelor pen for my males and try to pair them up asap or sell them to breeders who need a male for their hen. Button quail are monogamous. 1 male per 1 female. I keep a few extra males in their individual "suites" just in case come tragedy occurs to one of my males. I had snake problems for a while and the males would be gone first because they fight until their end for their mate. The hen would be hiding in the back of the cage when I find the snake trying to get them. Poor boys but they do show their love for their mate. At night, the pairs cuddle with each other, sometimes an egg between them.

Note: it is sooooo much harder introducing a new mate to a hen that lost her mate than a male who lost his mate. Males get over it faster I suppose. Hens are like us females

CatJane, pretty birds! But I do advise pairing up.
