Buying ebay eggs

Update: 96 quail eggs are resting. They were packaged very simply but very well and arrived very quickly. None of the eggs were compromised, will see tonight when I candle them if they are all okay but am hopeful.

Will be 64 in the Borotto and 32 in the Janoel, some of the eggs were BIG too so making me excited. There may be a silver lining after all.

I woke up this morning to 2 female Bielefelder's from the shipped egg's that are fluffed up. There are a couple more egg's in there that have the little chips in the shell. I'll take pictures later. My new black slogger chicken shoes that I ordered will be here tomorrow, and I think I'll take a picture of the chick's in those.

I ordered a dozen, and 2 arrived broken. The other 10 were ok. Took one out later that had a blood ring. 5 Bielefelder's have now hatched now, but some haven't fluff up enough for me to know the sex of them for sure.

I had also set 3 of my own egg's from out of my red Naked Neck hen, and only one of her egg's have hatched so far, but it didn't get the Naked Neck of the mother. It has the fully feathered neck. I had marked all of the egg's with an "S" for the shipped one's, and "NN" for my 3.

I was considering ordering eggs, now that our weather is cooler, but I hate having to pick them up at the post office. It's just a thirty minute drive, but still. I think I have a flock of 4 dozen now, give or take a few.

My hatching egg's get delivered to my door. I just keep track of the shipping progress and make sure that I am at home the day that they are to arrive. My mailman pull's up and hand's me the box saying here's your new babies'.

Our postman tosses packages by the gate...and it isn't even the gate closest to our house!
Still I'd like to have some of those backyard bantam eggs, from Ebay. Someone in Texas has naked neck eggs on Ebay too.

Silverudd's Blue (Swedish Isbar) I recently had some from a breeder and only 2/9 hatched. Stinks but the babies are precious.
