Buying ebay eggs

Have you purchased Ebay eggs?

I'm anxious to see the pictures. I think 5 hatching is pretty good odds.
I was considering ordering eggs, now that our weather is cooler, but I hate having to pick them up at the post office. It's just a thirty minute drive, but still. I think I have a flock of 4 dozen now, give or take a few.
I'm up to 6 of the shipped Bielefelder chick's now, and one chick from my red NN hen in my flock. A 7th Bielefelder egg had poked a hole in the underside of the egg and didn't make it. I still have 2 more egg's in there from my red NN hen that I'm waiting on to start hatching.

Have you bought eggs from Ebay?
If so, how was your hatch?
Do you recommend any particular seller?
Do you Not recommend any particular seller?
Have you ever sold eggs on Ebay?
If you bought eggs from Ebay, did you worry about bringing disease into your flock via hatched chicks? Has this happened to you or to anyone that you know?
Please do your research.
I have huge regrets. I wish I could have a do over.
I am disabled and on a tiny income. I was hoping to make this an investment to purchase a few Silver Laced English Orpington hatching eggs and go from there.
The ebay seller lindseysfluffs really took my money 😒 and instead of receiving SLEO I don't know what I got 🙄
I am thankful that only 1 hatched. Read my post here:

He's busy for a few months, but in the spring, maybe contact ColtHandorf on here. He breeds and may have some thoughts if his stock is out of your price range

Bought eggs multiple times none ever hatched bought live ebay chicks and those out of 15 only 6 where alive on arrival but it was nov for those and they where seramas. Id never buy ebay eggs again.

I saw your post. I actually hatched from my own stock again this year. It was too hot here, to have eggs shipped. I'll probably not buy any eggs, ever, as I'm too paranoid about diseases coming into my flock.

I have ordered on Ebay, to a hatchery that is one state over. After I had gotten her mailing address, now I just send her money directly and she sends me eggs, (always a good number of extras too.) She has all the rare birds. I have an order this week I will post a pic.

I broke down and bid on some eggs last week assuming I would not win it. Wrong. 🤣

They arrived today, a day earlier than expected, all intact. Delivered to my mailbox but they weren't out there long and are still cool to the touch. Resting time!
I had gotten a potluck from the Silverrud person, but my yellow top incubator crashed on me, but now I use 2 great incubators, foam, one for the first 18 days, one for the lockdown/hatching days. Works great.
My current order coming this week is from Foxfire farms in ID She also has Isbar which I am hoping to get. ( have gotten them before.) She says she is sending me some fun new breeds she is working on.
You can find her on ebay, just type in "Potluck eggs"

If I have not said it, I will say it again, practice on cheap eggs, local eggs if you are new to hatching, then when you have it down, go for the good stuff.
