Buying TSC Chicks Monday!!! Questions to ask and what to look for.

LOL 35 is probably what i will end up with at this rate...getting 2-3 chicks every other day it wont take long to get 35 lol...that is ok though I have neighbors that will take some if need be

Yay for chicken loving neighbors? I actually altogether hatched 53. The first hatch I got 22, and halved them with a friend. I got 31 this time and halved them with her again. (She was supplying most of the eggs.) She had a friend hatch some EE and gave me 7 and I bought 2 from a feed store. So, yeah. I would have a lot more if I had kept them all. @.@

I just got back from running errands. I went to TSC the bantams were ALL GONE! I called at 8:30 and they were picking them up from the post office. I called at 9:30 and they were unloading them and putting them in the brooders. I called at 10:30 to see what breeds they had gotten. I went in at 3:00 or 3:30 and they were gone! -_- Well, I tried. I have no idea what breeds they had. Sorry. :)

I'm heading over friday to check what they've got, have to work all day tomorrow and won't be home before they close :'(

at least I have my own eggs hatching right now... 5 babies so far!!! but no purebred silkies, just 1/2s and 1/2 sizzles...

i just have to say.. watch out for the few defets that slip through. i got a pullet that has a birth deffect and her head cant be straight it is always tilted to the right. she is a good chick and is a fighter but the first day we had them i thought i was going to lose her. and dont buy too many at once i have 25 chicks and even though i might lose some
