I just looked at Welp after someone mentioned free shipping (been paying $36.95 shipping for 3-4 chicks not even costing as much as that). But I wanted Bantams and minimum is 30! My husband will go crazy if that many showed up.

Check with several hatcheries, and watch the weather. Either too cold or too hot temperatures are not safe for shipping.
Many places have fifteen chick minimums, not too bad. Bantams are little! How can there be too many? You will get multiple cockerels, so have a plan for them too.

My friend told me I should get them from murray mcmurray hatchery so im ordering from there but thanks Mary!

I dont trust McMurray quality // cackle hatchery has deals for small orders/ the bantam pullet deal for example is 5 bantam pullets hatchery choice for 60 including shipping // if you are close enough to pick up yourself its only 45

I do like my Cackle birds! Either hatchery is fine to deal with though.

i was gonna order from MPC but the i wanted orpingtons and they were always sold out for like a month, plus it was gonna be like $35 to ship. My local feed store ended up getting straight run of lavender orpingtons and I took my chances. Much cheaper and I can always move on the rooster to a new home.
