This was on the "funny" thread. It is so me. Especially this week.

I have a friend I haven't seen in 25 years coming to visit next week. The house will be cleaner than it has been in a long time.

I will not show her the "junk" room. There are limits to what I can accomplish.

Good morning and thanks for the coffee!
Just smoke for us today but maybe some rain tomorrow.
DH is helping DS@ clean-up some junk and I am hanging out here, mainly holding the fort down in case of a fire start. I have cherries that I should do something with, laundry, fun stuff like that!

The high humidity at lower 70's feel cool on my skin,
later at high 80's it'll feel like torture.

Saw an oddity yesterday. Notice something rooting at bottom of run wall, hard to see what it was in the long grass, thru two layers of 2x4 of fencing and another layer of HC, even with binocs. Then it moved, was a rather large juvenile hawk having trouble walking. It kinda crawled out of sight. Figured it must have flown at the birds and hit the fence hard enough to stun it. Been hearing the hawk weaning songs lately, it's that time of year.
