Yep. Had this happen before on a nest I killed with hot water, did some googling and learned that skunks will dig them up for the larvae. Tho I haven't smelled skunk around here for a few years, I'm sure they are still around.Skunks and bears will do that.

I'm starting to figure out this pain pattern. It's at its worst when I first get up (before I've taken a dose of pain meds). I can walk off some of the pain. I need to start trusting my leg. It's not the same as before where it wants to lock up or give out. Just gently walking helps lightly stretch the muscles and nerve and calm it down to a tolerable level while the pain meds take effect. Then ice.
I'm currently managing the pain with 75% of the prescribed dose of Percocet. I'll have to do a full dose on PT days but that won't be for a while. I can do this.
I'm sure it will take time. It's already better than when the leg pain first came back.I hope the pain calms down for you soon.
