Middle, one of my Black Australorps, looks like she could lay any day now. I have three of them, and they will be 5 in March. This lady has a plump red comb, wattles, and the skin on her face has been red for 3 weeks or so. She had a pretty heavy molt, but is done and her feathers look fresh.

She is going to poop breakfast very soon.

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.

Forecast was for 4°F last night. It's currently -7°F. Idiots. Warm electrolyte and tuna infused mash on the menu this morning for the girls. I hope they are doing well. My 4 oldest will be 7 in 4 months. The next 5 oldest will be 6 in 4 months.
The dogs were out for 2.5 minutes this morning and Piper's feet were already painful. We are all bundled up near the fire now.

I just came back home from a nice walk with DH (!) and the dogs, and it is already getting dark out there.

Minus 7° F seems rather cold for December @DobieLover .
We usually only get really cold temperatures starting mid/end of January.

LF, I am happy that your DH is doing well enough for walks with you again!
It stayed above freezing here last night.
I think DS$ will go to wrestling practice today sometime and check-in with all of his buddies that are wrestling for different colleges. I think that is amazing the way they all get back together during the break.

We're getting some freezing rain (very light) and maybe some snow. I doubt the latter; it's above freezing now. We took our walk early while the dirt road is still frozen solid and not a muddy mess.
