BYC Café

I think it's a chicken tender thing mostly. If you live on a Keto diet eggs are a staple.

I like my eggs scrambled usually. If I'm having hasbrowns then I like my eggs over medium.

I drink my coffee black. I probably drink about 1 to 2 pots daily.
@krista74 has last been seen on BYC in September 2015, so don't expect an answer from her. ;)

I hope they aren't in pain the entire time.
When Darl got frostbitten on his wattles, they looked painful for a few days. Then the area started to "dry up." It turned dark and crusty looking, then black and shrunken. I think it was about two months before everything fell off.

I remember seeing a bit of scabby looking stuff that was coming loose one day. He must have caught it on something, or one of the ladies pulled on it, because it was gone the next day. The rest of it came off pretty soon after that.

Good Morning All
I am making a nice cup of tea now and thinking of crunchy bread, but I made non yesterday and I do not want to go to the shop to buy one as mine is better than theirs 😄
My Wyandotte hen Pretty is so determined with her broodiness that I feel tired of trying to break her out of it. She lays so few small eggs, she spend most of her time being broody, then molting and broody while molting. It is a profession with her.

he wouldn't tell me.
IKR. They can be a-holes that way.

Cole is still doing all his normal activity. I didn't see him chest shake today. He sent up a predator alert in the run today that sent every hen running back to the coop. Fabio ran out to the run and also started alerting. There was nothing there!! NOTHING!! They can't even see out through the tarps. I had to listen to that racket the whole time I was cleaning the boards.

It never occurred to me to look at the post date. I'm just reading through getting entertained.
You'd be better off starting maybe a week ago and reading through to today. Most of the people who were posting to this thread when it was first started are no longer on the site.

Thanks for this. I hope he gets through this.
He is looking exactly like the rooster we used to have. After a fight with another rooster and his eyes are so gentle.
How is he doing now?
I chose him out of the three that hatched strictly based on his personality. I didn't want a white bird and as much as I think his comb and wattles are glorious, I didn't want a bird with them because of the frostbite risk and here we are.
