Snow started here about 30 minutes ago. Prediction is 1-3" with freezing rain starting overnight.

We just got back from the store. Some freezing misty rain.

Why are we getting freezing rain at 25 degrees when we can get fat fluffy snowflakes at 30?

I wish I'd been taking pictures of our snowfalls using a ruler to show how much we got each time, so that I could add it up to get a total. I'd send the pictures and the total to Ellen Bacca (chief meteorologist at channel 8 in Grand Rapids, MI) and ask her how did we get so short changed this year? Atmospheric conditions? Peculiar topography? Due to sun spots, karma, the position of the planets?

We've got about 2" and it's still coming down steady. More fluffy than before.

I saw the deer and the turkey eating this mornings offering together.

I'm restraining myself. I want to let Fabio out but he needs one more day of meds to complete the course. Maybe I could just let him roost tonight then get him in the morning before he comes off the roost. I'm having no trouble getting him to take his meds by giving it to him in a big chunk of muffin. He loves it.

Good Morning All,
We are having nice sunshine and blue sky over here. And best of all the air is cool and fresh. I enjoy this morning while it lasts as it will be very hot before midday.

I am having my 2nd cup..tea now. I like my tea with sprinkle of cinnamon powder. It smells so nice. Cinnamon goes well with cool weather.
I am looking forward to the incoming autumn and winter (Australia) I dream of my hot chocolate drink, roasted chestnuts, and the nice smelling of the oven being busy cooking.....come over autumn and winter......

Supposed to snow until 9 and then turn to freezing rain for a couple of hours then to rain and rising temperatures tomorrow AM. We are supposed to have a derby (young dog) trial at the club tomorrow. Should be interesting.

We did get some freezing drizzle, but the winter storm warning was way overblown. They've really down graded it now, and most of the snow will miss us.

But we did get the grocery shopping done, and we're set for food if by some happenstance we do get anything.

I am not looking forward to the very cold temps next week.

We picked DH up Cafe about 2:30 stopped at Dairy queen for lunch in the car.
He has layed down for nap now.
We did warm up a bit rain started on the way there low 40's.
