Hi all you coffee lovers (and tea lovers). It's early and so far everyone is sleeping in this a.m. I've already been out to check on my feathered babies. I'm down to 11 black sex-link roos, and 5 "Reds" pullets, that are about 6 weeks old. At this point they look like miniature chickens in all their glory. They have just began free-ranging during the daytime. I also have 5 little chicks maybe 3 weeks old. They are 3 different breeds but I don't know what. They were sold as "Heavies" but I'm betting 2 are bantams of some type or the others are "Giants" or probably both is true, lol.
I have a bunch of children 4 grown and 3 still at home, along with one of my grandsons. I call them the "Wildbunch" after all the ones still at home are all boys, lol. Our house is the loudest so its good we moved to the country. With 3 ponds on the property and woods surrounding it the Wildbunch spends a lot of time outside fishing or exploring. We attend church with a loving church family. My husband works at a major poultry plant. Its a tough job but it pays the bills.
Welcome!
