BYC Café

I think we all do. It bothers me greatly that we don't know why she's no longer on the site.
What Aart is not on here ? I admit I have not been on in a long while because I don't have Hens in 2 years. They will be sorely missed.
I was just looking at an old post on their run/coop. But didn't look to see the last time they were on. But there are a lot of Great posts from them so that is good.

Thanks for the Last coffee, I needed it.
Snow the other day and just rain here.... so want Spring to just come, even it is it a cool spring. My Bees are NOT happy.

Can I also Rant about how some people are trying to charge $80 for a full grown hen ?? I'm looking for just 2 older hens, if they lay 2 eggs a week I would be happy. I just miss having them around, plus I have a , ahhem not, garden that needs tilling ;)
I may just have to graba couple chicks but I didn't want to do the inside growing

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.

I just placed an order for SR day old black Ameraucana chicks from a private breeder with exhibition quality pens. I'll need these girls for my breeding flock. The cockerels will sell here for at least $20 ea as they are sought after for making EEs or a good 4H bird.

These BlkA chicks will be shipped the week of May 19 when Savannah and her kids should be done with the maternity ward. If I'm truly lucky, Astrid will have gone broody by then and I can convince her to adopt the new chicks. She is the one who adopted the bantam chicks a few years ago.

Good Evening All.

I am drinking my first cup of coffee for today as this being Monday 14/04/25 In Australia.

Yes, we got so much rain for the last few days that send me to hopelessness. Enough is enough already! The sky is now looking clear and I can see stars so I am guessing that tomorrow will bright and shine. I pray that it is to be so.

I ate 8 hot cross buns this morning, just emotional eat as I do not fancy hot cross buns at all. Then after eating so much, I got sugar heat which in a form of migraine, what a load of pain that was, took my pain relief, and had a nap and now so late in the evening doing my laundry......Not sure if I can go back to sleep later.

Good morning and thanks for the hot coffee!
We are back from Kearney. We got to see our TX/MO friends and hang out and then spend time with DS$ and hit the awards banquet.
This morning, there is 5 inches of snow on the ground, so we dodged the weather yet again.
Those boys got Championship watches and rings and trophies for the All-Americans. The prime rib lunch was spectacular. DS$ was a recipient of a plaque for being an AA plus an Academic All-American,
of which this team had the most of any of the other D2 teams.
What a GREAT group of young men!
Back to the reality of here, now. Doc appt friend has 2 tomorrow and a possible surgery pickup for another friend.
Enjoy the day, Cafe!
