BYC Café

Oh good! It is frosty out there so some hot coffee is perfect.
Heading out on those doc runs soon and I will get updates on my other friend's surgery as things progress. Tomorrow is the for sure pick-up with that. MORF is for Thursday with the last of the tree work. I was really hoping we were done with that, but at least my rib is no longer something to be ignored, but something that if I try, I know it is there. Progress! I also did not touch the snow shovel, LOL!
I hope the Cafe has a wonderful day!
Hang in there, SKY! :hugs

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready. We have a dusting of snow.

Yesterday was a rotten day. A strong storm blew through around noon, brought a poplar down in my back marshy lot and it landed on the power line and took out the power. For my neighbors at least. I was unaware of this as I was at work at the time. I found out when a NYSEG car was sitting in my driveway for 10 minutes while I was feeding my dogs. When I went out to talk to him, I noticed the line running across my front yard down to the tree that crushed the neighbors chain link fence.

And I noticed the gray feral cat sitting/laying at the end of my driveway looking very bad. The NYSEG employee said it looked like it had foam coming out of its mouth. Its mouth looked buggered up and may have also had blood on it. It either got hit by a car or was electrocuted. It wasn't leaving either. I called 5 different places for help for someone to try to catch the cat and euthanize it. No one answered or called back. The cat slowly made its way up to my garage and then next to the house between the garage and mudroom where it was trying to get out of the building wind and dropping temps. I brought out some warm sugar water and left it within a foot of it hoping that might help. I have yet to see if it is still there or if it died during the night.
