Good morning everyone! Looks like it's going to rain today, rained yesterday too. :( Have a good Sunday all!
We must! I am constantly snacking too. It is a sad day when we run out of snacks. Cookies, pretzels, crackers, goldfish, popcorn, little debbie, you name it I'll eat it

I don't think I've ever seen that movie but I remember hearing about it. That's too funny.

I agree. I got the chocolate cupcakes and the orange ones a few weeks ago and they were dreadful. Especially the orange. So fake and sticky. Oddly my dad loved the orange ones so I gave them to him. I used to love Hostess but I don't know if I was a kid and didn't care or notice quality or if they truly have gotten worse. My dad says they went bankrupt, hence the break, but that they got bought out and significantly reduced the amount of bakeries. They used to have tons, definitely over a dozen I think, and it's down to 3 now. If so that could explain the lack of quality. But even back then I thought Twinkies were a disgusting idea.

I personally love the cake just because it's a classic and what I'm used to but the rolls I think you almost get more. Hard to decide. You could always try both and see for yourself :P and oooohhhh I'veI've never tried those! Will have to. They make butterfly cakes too.

Can I talk about snacks with you guys too? It is a very sad day when we run out of snacks at home!

I used to like the Hostess snowballs. Way back you would get one pink and one white in a package. Of course the pink tasted better to my youthful self. I would gladly share the white one with anyone.

I've always felt the Hostess cupcakes had plastic icing, the Twinkies tasted like soap. I didn't miss them in the time they left the market. I still could get Little Debbies. Haven't seen Zebra rolls yet but which do you think is better., rolls or cake? I also like the Christmas trees in season.

Never liked the cupcakes or Twinkies, but I have a soft spot for their Ding Dongs, though, and their Suzy Q's were wonderful...of course the Suzy Q hasn't made a comeback since they started bringing back Hostess products, go figure.

Yes, it is morning, and so far a good one.
I hope that today stays somewhat nice, 4 days without rain!

Wow, that is something!!! I'm just hoping I get enough time between the morning dew drying up and the afternoon thunderstorm to get the mowing finished -- got half the yard done Thursday before it started to rain and I'm thinking if I can't get it knocked out today I'm going to be back to having to mow the whole thing anyway because what I did get done is going to have caught back up

Phil, down here its bluegill.

Morning folks.

I thought so....we have yellow perch here...walleye are a large member of the perch family.
If you've never tried them do so if a chance comes up. They are the best eatting fish we have.

Mornin', all!

Temp about 80o, humidity about the same - if someone sneezed out there, it could start a thunderstorm.

We got about half an inch of rain yesterday afternoon, but not doing too bad, really.

For us, June is Deer Fly season. Note to self - put fly tapes up in rabbitry . . . .

Well, I guess it's afternoon now. Cold and overcast/rainy here. I loved the Hostess snowballs too! We used to peel the coconut top off and eat that first! Never cared for the twinkles or other stuff, and I try to stay away from anything Little Debbie...it is all good! I think my favorite is the brownie with ice cream, no wait, t could be the nutter butter bars, just the right amount of crisp to peanut butter. Of course the Swiss cake roll practically qualifies as comfort food...yup, it's a good thing the store is 25 miles away.:D

What kind of perch are you talking about Bert.....the perch we have up here would never survive in Texas.
Welcome!
Come on you guys are slamming my beloved Twinkies.....

Well the late night crew has been busy.  Good morning, Café.

Maybe we all share the snacking gene lol

Don't think I've ever had the snowballs or suzie qs but i may look for them now. Not big on coconut though.

Anyone ever had the cosmic brownies? I love those things.

For us we have 2 grocery stores and a dollar store and other stuff about 2 minutes away so it's even harder

A lot of them are only $1.79 too so i go crazy lol

But now a market basket just opened about 10-15 minutes away and my dad says they have this stuff for 99 cents. That may be dangerous LOL
