BYC Café

Well this a.m. I gulped down a cup of black coffee and rushed out with the grandson to pick blackberries before it was too hot. Most aren't ripe yet but we picked about a pint, give or take a few to put in the freezer. I hope to get more in a week or two when more are ripe. I'm looking forward to blackberry jelly. On another note, that chocolate mint drink sounds divine on this hot morning.

henny, they are beagle field trials.  I am late for coffee at the Café this morning because of the projected high temperatures.  Got up early and worked dogs before the extreme heat hit.  I think iced coffee may be outlawed at the Café.  :idunno

Not in this heat. When it hits 90 before 10 it is iced coffee for me. Today we are at 80 already.

I have to agree, when already 92* in the shade here, iced coffee is a nice drink.
My grandpa used to say the same thing about letting some of the hay get a bit of rain on it, if it does 'oh-well-sh*t', if it don't we got good hay done up! Good Luck to your hay!

Fun! We have a Beagle, I would love to train her to hunt, but I never have the time. We also have a Pointer, but I just don't think he would be as good a hunter as the Beagle......well I don't think "smart" is the word, but I'm going to use it anyways. He's just not quite as smart as the Beagle.

Uh oh. No iced coffee, I'm going to go hide it.

Hello y'all. Sounds like you each have been very busy one way or another. Glad to hear everyone had good 4th. It's been rather warm and sticky humid here. Thanks for the coffee. New hens are adjusting. They're not as interesting as the first bunch.

They're not laying yet, but Madea has continued to lay at least every other day. Everyone have a fabulous day.
