Good Morning Wiggles :frow
R.I.P. your Great Aunt.
Your not hunting? Have fun at your Sister's. Does DH hunt any or just do the social scene

thank you everyone for your kind words.

Scott, DH does indeed hunt, he's gotten a few 8 pointers over the last few years. He didn't go to camp last year due to our house project and I think he missed it. But he enjoys the cooking, eating, playing pranks ( there have been some dandys over the years), cards and evenings in the sauna more! I do not hunt, but I will go up to camp after the first week and visit. I unfortunately do not like venison, and I've tried it a variety of ways, but it is just not for me. Which is funny, because I've had bear stew and like that, go figure.

Love bear.... Yummy

Also I like Beaver, Badger, Snapping turtle, Greeb, Goose, Duck, Dove and, all fish that I have eaten. I didn't much care for the Dog and Monkey that I had back in early 70's.

I'd Eat that stuff to might not like it but i'd try it.... Actually have eaten most of that stuff. Would pass on the monkey though. Beaver is real good.... Goose is great.
A freind of mine from Rock asked your last name scott....his name is Bill Toyra.

Badger ? Isn't that pretty rank ?

It's like Carp, all in how it's cleaned and cooked, and the younger the better.
I forgot Squirrel and Rabbit.
The only thing that GrandDad killed that we didn't eat was any kind of Snake.

We had a gorgeous day here; BB2K and I took advantage of it to work with a couple of the horses. After the fiasco at the fair, I wasn't sure how Syd was going to do, but I long lined her around the block to begin with. I'm not sure, but I think she's been watching that episode of Doctor Who that involved the living plastic, because she seemed to be sure that the trash carts on the side of the road were going to eat her. I finally walked her up to one and showed her that they were just the same as they had always been the dozens of other times she had walked past them. I'm not sure I convinced her, but at least she stopped shying.

When we got back, I hitched her up to the garden cart, and got her to help me move some feed to the workshop. She did fine with that. Then I loaded a bag of salt on the wagon, and while BB2K rode along on Sunny, we went through the neighborhood again. Syd was pretty antsy, all eyes and ears and looking for something to spook at, but eventually she settled down and we had a nice walk. When we got back, BB2K was wondering if I'd considered hitching Blondie, and I said, "sure!" I've longlined her a bit, and she has pulled the drag a little, but she'd never been between the shafts. Nothing is ever a big deal with The Blonde; a few minutes of being walked around the wagon and being bumped and rubbed with the shafts, and she was good to go. Hitched her up, BB2K and her Serama hen Stella took a seat on the wagon, and I led them off. As usual, Blondie was totally unfluffled. You don't know how many times I have wished I could do a brain transplant between her and Syd . . . .

But all told, I reckon I put in at least 5 miles walking ponies today. Fun, but tiring.
