Happy Veteran's Day. The weather continues to be lovely here in the UP. I will be home today baking bars for my great aunt's funeral tomorrow. She was 96.

DH leaves for deer camp on Monday. He is excited for the food and cards more than anything I think. I will be at home, prepping more food for the Thanksgiving, four day extravaganza at my sister's house. I'm just hoping the rioting in Milwaukee will be over.....

Tomorrow we take a trip to Columbus for the Ohio National poultry show! I'm excited to see all the beautiful birds. I've never been to a show before, so I'm looking forward to a fun time.

Oh, how exciting, I am admittedly a bit jealous -- I went to one smaller show and was blown away at the size and quality of the birds we saw, can't imagine what you'll be seeing at a show that size!

So sorry to hear about your great aunt's passing.
Hope all goes well at deer camp - funny how little "hunting" goes on at those things.

Morning! Another beautiful day here as well. DS$ and I are going for a ride later. Thank you to all of the Veterans on here!
I need to finish the winterizing of the coop. I have a crippled chicken and so I have to get her floor bed organized and hopefully, she will use it. I was going to process a roo or two, but my neighbor just lost her second one so I am thinking that they may need to stay as back-ups. Fortunately, they all get along with just minor checks so the winter should go pretty well. The three boys, sheep, were having their squabbling flare up yesterday. Two of them were panting and just a circle of dust and mayhem. It gives me a headache watching all of these sheep fight during breeding season. Even the girls all run around headbutting each other. Sheez.....

Nice day here too, was really warm earlier but now it's been cooling down for an hour or so. Supposed to be really cold tonight.

Finally added some more shaving to the coop in preparation for tonight. Usually they sleep on the roof but I'm going to have to put them in tonight. Really need to completely empty and clean the coop out though, haven't done it in a while, but with sleeping outside except a few nights I've put them in, it stays pretty clean. But it needs to be cleaned, maybe tomorrow.

But for now, I'm back inside. I woke up early then fell back asleep till late and have been kinda hanging around minus the chicken thing. Well, i did walk around the yard and just now ran, overdid it though lol

I'm sick but got some stuff at Walmart yesterday, this Theraflu kinda tea like thing except it's a powder you stir in, it tastes delicious lol, some more Emergen-C immune boost, also a drink powder but cold, i forget what it's called but that airline stuff, it's a tablet you put in a drink, and some regular vitamin C emergen-c not immune, all different flavors. So far today I've had the tea medicine stuff and a pack of emergen-c immune one and a big bowl of chunky chicken noodle soup.

The theraful really seemed to help. Until I ran around the yard and also drank the fizzy emergen c lol should have had that first then the nice throat tea thing, gonna have regular tea soon though.

Also been using the saline nose stuff.

The worst part is the nose I think and I guess throat. Scratchy and nose yesterday was a dripping faucet and today is stuffed.
