Oh, heavens, I get a sugar rush just looking at all those doughnuts - but they do look yummy.

Scott, sorry to hear about the bug that's been buggin' your family; hope that all are back to full health soon and that's the end of it!

Margie, I hear you. Winter comes to us all, I bow my head and endure it too, even though mine is nowhere near as harsh as yours. Stay warm, dry and safe (at least, as much as possible).

Sour, sounds as if you, like us, really hadn't had much in the way of precipitation since Matthew.

BB2K and I did a bit more pushing of the envelope with Syd last night. As the last of the daylight faded, we pulled Syd and Blondie out and brushed them down (it's amazing how much dirt can stick in those shaggy pony winter coats!). Then we harnessed Syd up and hitched her to the rig. We put a lighted Christmas blanket on Blondie, draped a string of Christmas lights across Syd's back, and took them for a walk through the neighborhood. The lights on the blanket and the string Syd was wearing are LED's, so they are really bright and throw all kinds of weird shadows as we walk along, which was all part of the plan. Syd was quiet enough about the hitching and all, but she was still pretty wired when we moved - head up, ears pricked, stepping clippycloppyclippycloppy just barely less than a trot. BUT she wasn't pulling, or crowding, or shying, and the few times that we stopped, she stood still without pawing, or fidgeting, or tossing her head; so there was marked improvement. My intent was to keep going until I felt Syd had settled down to just doing the task at hand rather than being on the edge of trying to run away from it . . . . We did about 3 miles. For the last half-mile or so, BB2K rode in the cart; she was getting pretty tired of the pace, even if Syd wasn't! Syd found suddenly having weight back there a bit unsettling, but she adjusted, and if anything, it helped to wear her down and gave her more of a job to focus on. Kinda fun, all in all - nobody got hurt, and they are all still talking to me today.

why you go by bunnylady is beyond me........

you know I could go for a coupe of working horses.....team or solo......

Good morning, off to work today. DH will be returning from camp today. With three empty pie plates and maybe some card winnings.

Scott- I'm not expecting the snow to stick. We are supposed to have above average snowfall this year, which I'll take. Id rather the snow than the bitter cold.
Bunny- you need to post some pictures!

Morning! Foggy and cold. Supposed to get up to 7 inches of snow but nothing yet. All of the sheep are going psycho in this weather. If you were a small creature and could hang on, you would have a huge spinning amusement park full of wacky rides. I think some coffee is in order for the day.
Good luck on the weather you all!
