I start working today. Supposed to be part-time...we'll see how that works out, especially with the new hires dropping out/not showing up already.

We had off & on snow yesterday but no accumulation. Today is just cold.

The new little chicks seem to be growing already and are doing well.

Me too, but a smidgen of hope remains. Stupidly optimistic? We'll see.

Princess says that I am a pessimist so don't listen to me. (Although I feel that I am a realist.)


Greatest thing about retiring was that I no longer had to hire employees. Once the supply of 'farm raised' folks ran out it became harder to hire good workers.

Morning! Nasty winds last night but we are done now I think. We went for a hike on the sunny side of the hills yesterday. This week is supposed to be beautiful and there are chores to be done for sure. Have a great day everyone!
