By the way...Spouse said that as a kid, 4 square was played up near Dallas, Texas....

Dunno...maybe I just didn't play it much, and that is why I don't remember. :confused:
Al, I don't remember 4 square around Ft. Worth in the 60's but memory ain't what it once was.
 
huh..... so is this played all over the US? Or only in certain regions?

Soooo. where were you when you learned to play it?

Meanwhile back at 'Four Square'. We didn't have blacktop so how the heck could we play it ? Hard to draw squares on dirt roads or playgrounds. :lau:old

Good point. .. first school I remember had grass and dirt and sand and oyster shells to play on.
 
No sidewalks - an outhouse - 2 classrooms. :old
oooooh, did ya have to read by karosene light and hike uphill to school for 5 miles each way?

I met someone last week who got snowed in in October...plowed out in March....so had to ski to school every day...a few miles.
