Wow, that is scary Marge. To think about them busting out windows and getting inside. I hope it doesn't take a serious human injury or fatality for something to be done to get them under control.
Hi guys, can't imagine this bear stuff sounds awful and they look so cute on wildlife progrmmes!
As far as I go with my parental stuff and I am sure you are bored to death (sorry) but have found a home to take father on 1st September now looking for a ground floor flat with a view for mum and take all carers with, she is also getting bed bound but still 'iwith it'. I am so sick of looking at 'smelly places' and grotty flats but hopefully can sell parents 'pile' for a bit and put in the kitty to keep them going.and find nice flat. All the places are so old and I mean old dating back to 1790's and been converted.
The problem is Estate Agents lie, what they show as 'beautiful' in their adverts turn out to be a pile of garbage and you waste so much time looking at it. I actually phoned them and said their ad was so misleading and they said 'oh yes it's communial' ie masses of nasty little houses bunched with 'landscaped gardens' you couldn't swing a cat in (not that I wuld do that) ..
Anyway going to be here for ages I think and the weather is ghastly, not exactly cold but rainy and depressing , oh long for Africa...
Margie- I can't even imagine having to deal with the bears. But, seeing as there was a rather large one on my uncle's property being a nuisance I guess I might have one more thing to,look forward to!
Whoop- I am glad to hear you found a place for your dad. I hope you have good luck with a home for your mom. I will keep my fingers crossed for you.
Hey there, it is almost bedtime!
Whoop, I am so glad that you found a suitable place for your Father. I hope there will be a wonderful home for your Mother soon as well and that you can head back to Summer and your chooks and your family. Your daughter's hair must be fading by now and it probably needs a touch up!
Don't know if it's "the bear," but a bear visited our porch in the wee hours
before dawn today (heard it but didn't see it), and though we're being very careful
not to leave out anything attractive, it managed to find and almost surgically remove
the one edible thing out there, a forgotten small closed container of leftover chutney
that was in the outer pocket of a backpack. I'll have to repair the pack, and the
chutney container was empty and in fragments, but nothing else was even disturbed.
It is clearly only after food.
Only one post from last night for those tuning in........ This would be in our area....
Actually 2 posts today...
That would be the same small oen that visited us last night, the first visi=
t we=E2=80=99ve had. Opened both cars, sniffed around and did find a forgo=
tten mostly empty drink container it tore open, scoring perhaps a small mou=
thul of coconut water. It it had closed the doors when it was done, we mi=
ght not have noticed it had been in the cars.
