They must have heard you! Blessedly quiet and I am really okay with that. So yesterday morning was spent babysitting a wreck in the hood, while the involved parties went off to make calls and such. I didn't want anyone looking for someone whom they thought might be wandering around in the woods with a head injury - happens a lot up here. My neighbor's dog got diagnosed with diabetes. Kiddo had a great first day back. Pretty much it........

Margie, glad you had a quiet night.

Yesterday DH & I checked out the new mini-golf place in town. It was so much fun! I'm going to have to watch how he keeps score though. I beat him by 1 stroke in the first 9 holes...he won the game by 5 strokes. We also won a free game at the end. Neither one of us have done that forever.

Ran errands this morning, I have a batch of bread rising and DH is playing outside with his new wheelbarrow.

So my old Roo is down this am. I was noticing him not being as active these past few days. No stress, he just seems real tired and his favorites are hanging with him so I guess I will let him pass in peace. I will offer him water and tuna later today and see, but I think it is his time just from the feel of him. Good thing he has a nice crop of sons this season or I would have missed out on his good nature being passed down. Time will tell on these youngsters, of course, but we will see.

Hi guys been a touch tricky here too but no bears just geriatic tv - had to install wifi camera to check on parents and carers - mother moves like lightening when she has a sherry and then falls down. Father is going in home next week hopefully, they are coming to assess him and then take for a week to see. All very disorientating but that is the way do things here????

Founds endless cottages to move to but don't have bathrooms - all 17th C, don't think Brits ever washed!!!! ever - bathrooms all built on at the rear!!! of house as an after thought - no wonder they have so many trees!! Sorry very tired at looking at cuk places with promise of so much more... look so pretty but GHASTLY inside...

@NorthFLChick when you play with DH just make sure he doesn't come up with 'local rules' mine always does when we play 'bowls' not golf have a place set out in our garden - cheats every time - miss my family so much stuck here for ever I think... My son going ballistic with DH demanding - also had bad guys back - hope nothing hppens while Im away xxxx

Sheep, still thinking and doing my research. The woman that lambed these is willing to breed the three ewes to an unrelated ram for the cost of board. She is trying real hard to improve the CVM breed and add genetic options. I am good with that as it tugs at my heartstrings, having a degree in Animal Science, emphasis on Genetics...... See, I told you guys that things just happen and fall into place in a very uncanny way around here. Why would I just missfire and drag up the Craigslist website and seeing as how I was there, decide to peruse the farm and garden column, when I haven't been on the site for about 6 months? No reason at all.....

Okay, no one wants to talk sheep? LOL! Let's talk cows. My freezer beef will be heading off to "camp" at the end of Sept and will be ready for pick-up Oct. 20thish. Guestimating the cost per lb of packaged beef will be $4.16 for natural, aka real old school beef, not organic. It has gone up a dollar since two and a half years ago. Anyone else get their meat non-grocery store?
