The roof seems ok , but we have at least 6 trees down! One just missed my workshop and two would have hit my truck but i parked it near the garage to unload last night and didn't move it!

Cap, I hope your luck holds out. Ours just ran out - a dead tree on the edge of our property just landed on a neighbor's car.

Just ordered a brooding plate. Uses less energy than a heating pad. Neighbour has an incubator she's not using, so I'm all set for the Easter HAL. Now I just have to wait until the 10th.

I do not understand why someone would buy a heating pad and not buy a brooder plate. There is not much difference it cost really and brooder plates are meant for use with chickens.

Of course I often get into trouble when I say that....Kind of cultist if you think about it.

It would make sense if you had one in the closet and you were tight on money but I would only use it until I could buy a brooder plate. I like the ones that Premier1 sell.
