My grandma has 4 Oclocks and they were pretty BUT, then the warning came out that the seeds were poisonous. Funny thing is, I doubt any kids went around eating them when I was young. I know I never had the inclination. My grandma always let me harvest the seeds for her, and she'd replant them the next year.

Moss roses aren't roses at all but, have rather succulent stems/leaves and are great low growing bloomers. They come in many colors.

oh THOSE moss roses! There are also actual roses called moss roses.

so, the not an actual rose, moss rose is a portulaca. Looks like this:

Nope. Nice place?
yep. Lots of stuff, mostly roses. But they have lots of roses that they sell that are "found roses", so roses that had been abandoned for years and grew with zero care at old homesteads or cemeteries. In other words, hardy and low care as well as historical!

Those would work great on my place.:)

I bought hatching trays and use them mostly now. They are plastic and are dishwasher safe.

Cut down egg cartons are very good too. You cut the top and bottoms to make them lower and to allow for air flow.

Do you have a picture? in my head I am picturing more of a tube image than full egg carton if that makes sense :idunno

@tjo804

:weeSo happy to hear the baby is doing better!!
Thank you, mee too! I tried to make her a chick chair out of a cup and sock, she got out of both!

You know there are lilacs growing in Nova Scotia. Pretty cold there!
I think it is the summers here that kill them off. DH has refused! to pay for AirConditioned green house since I am not a big fan of Air Conditioned house house. :he :gig

For my Roses I plant Rotted Banana peel at the far edge of the root system the potassium I think does them real good!

Would a regular egg carton be good for Silkie eggs? The size and all. and should I put slits or hole punches in the sides of the carton after I cut the bottoms? I have time since they dont go in lock down until monday.
Silkie eggs are not that small. I used a regular egg carton for them.

This is a cut down egg carton:

You don't need to cut the top as much. The holes in the bottom are optional
