He said that after the fifth of us was born. This was back in the 60's to early 70s though. Things are a bit different--likely because something we eat has lowered male fertility for Humans

I had a fear I would be a horrible parent so never wanted one until they made it so I couldn't but stayed alive

Contrary to what you see, birth rate is at an all time low here. Europe is in the same boat
