I picked a site for the new chicken coop, adjacent to the turkey runs.

I am working on clearing the site today. Getting out the chainsaw after lunch.

Most of our property is shaded, that is why i love it here. I chose this spot so i can use the side of the turkey run as the end of the chicken runs. Save time, materials, and effort.

I get it. I did the same thing.
My runs for my Turkey and chickens shared a fenceline. And at the back of the Turkey run I closed off a section of the run 12'x15' so I could plant for the birds to forage in. Most of the time together. I would plant wheat mixed with oat and bird seed mix. And I would plant around the outside of their fence like so the could nibble on wheat during the winter. And because they shared the fenceline they acted like one flock. But at bed time they would go into their own runs.

Curses, foiled again! Mother Nature whipped up a rain storm and i had to come in. I could see it getting darker and the wind picked up. I was trying to get the small trees cut down and the big trees on the ground cut into manageable pieces. I did get a lot done before i had to pack up the Mule and head for cover. Hoping it will clear up so i can go back and get more work done.
It's a good thing i put the wood i painted under my canopy on blocks. I am building another rabbit cage.
