Guess you never had a bowl of Louisiana gumbo, extra tasso wid a big scoop of potatoe salad on the side! Besides fried its the best way to try okra. Fried is not really slimy imo.
I do love gumbo. One of my best friends is from Georgia and he makes it sometimes. Mmm mmm is it good.

My son says when it snows - nobody knows how to drive on it. He's from the CHicago suburbs - so knows his way around snow, ice, and cold temps. Which is why he is staying in WA, also because his job is there.

He wants me to move out by him. But, I've been in this house most of my life., we're both fixer uppers.

Besides he has cougars(animal kind) and bears and probably some poison snakes.

Here have just coyotes, skunks, opossum, wood chucks, fox, raccoons and garter snakes -:sick

I've had gumbo several times but what's tasso? If it was in my gumbo no one told me:lol:

Yeah, no one knows what to do when there's a big snow storm here. And a lot of places aren't equipped with snow plows and the like, so it can be a real mess. But it is a nice place to live in many ways, but it has its pluses and minuses just like anywhere else.

You just have to use your best judgement on that. If you are happy where you are, then stay as long as you remain happy there. You'll probably know in your heart what is right for you.
