BYC Café

Sounds nice. :drool
It's more used for seasoning than a main dish. I use it mostly for gumbo and red beans and rice. It adds a layer of flavor you don't get with plain ham. I'm glad your buddy in GA.made you some good gumbo, but when I moved there from LA. I lost almost 40 lbs cause the food didnt taste good to me!:lau

@JedJackson, welcome to the Café. I'll be looking for you tomorrow morning. Shad makes a good pot of coffee.

Sour is no such thing. Princess would never allow a varmint in the house. She won't even allow his Beagles in the house. Only Pugs that come to visit.

Not quite true. Dani our 12 year old golden is a fixture - It is going to be tough here when her time comes. We cried for 6 months after the last golden died - that lasted another 6 months and we got Dani. She will be our last.

Love me some shrimp etouffee, too!
I gotcha, boi! I go back home couple times a year and come back with a big cooler full. Used to go down to Leesville to the shrimp docks and get it right off the boats. I like to grill redfish filets and then top it w/ shrimp or crawfish etouffee. Dats jus stupid good, yeah!
