I like everything about the truck except the lousy gas mileage I get.

Yes'm but this is my Friday, I'm off the next 4 days. Abby is getting spayed and chipped tomorrow. I've started cleaning out the coop already but need to finish that and rake the backyard.

What are you doing today? Is your husband coming home for the weekend?

He's gone again, he was here Monday & Tuesday. Actually, I was going to go to Casper today, but that plan changed. The guy that's going to help him with the drywall wanted to come today so he could be back home Sunday for the Stupor Bowl. I'm hoping to get back up there next week.

It's a beautiful sunny day here, sitting at a nice -20 (-4 F)


Everyone always wants me to get goats But I'm happy with our five year plan of waiting until we've lived here for 5 years before investing in larger livestock. Plus, once my own babies are bigger, then I'll start thinking about looking after some animal babies! Our barn situation may not be great - too many places look like it could buckle and fall apart. I'd like to try and find someone who knows about century barns to let us know it's condition and our realistic options.

Derelict barns aren't much fun... they end up leading to more dead critters than live ones. Your plan sounds smart.

Thank you! I hope it doesn't rain too much this weekend so Frank gets tired at the park. It's keeping 2 puppies calm that has me worried

That’s true!! I am sure it is super fun! Baby goats are adorable! I’m just not sure I really want to deal with milking daily and birthing and pregnancy and stuff haha plus I wouldn’t know what to do with the milk.

Get meat goats. They feed the babies and you only have to milk them if they get mastitis. The milk is a very healthy beverage and tasty.
