That happens to me all the time or "can you send me pictures" and then asks again in 2 weeks, then calls and say's "I'm on my way out to see them"....never shows then 6 months later asks again to send pictures

Good on the blocking - past behavior generally predicts future behavior. You don't need the aggravation.
Do quail eat a lot of feed?
Not compared to chickens. Depends on how many you have and how much they waste.

Also what do you feed them? I know it is supposed to be higher protein but I wasn’t sure if there was a specific type of feed. I think I read somewhere turkey starter and finisher for the first 6 weeks? But then I read somewhere meatbird feed too. Then I read somewhere 18 to 20 percent protein while elsewhere I read like 22 to 24 or even 26 or 30 sometimes.
