Also I guess it wouldn’t be wise to start with these all at once :lau

If I got one of the first two (same person), I wouldn’t get both, but mostly just showing the smaller option. I was kind of thinking the 50 one so I could get 20 different colors instead of just 6 colors and then also getting the Celadon for blue eggs cause I like variety haha I think I have an addiction before I even have them  but then again, I kind of like the colors listed in the 25 pack better. I Googled all the colors. Idk. 20 different colors would be cool. Maybe I should start with just basic brown quail though but I like variety and different colors especially if they’ll be pets hah

Thanks, that makes sense. Wonder if there’s a way to reduce the waste? The chickens waste some too ha

Also what do you feed them? I know it is supposed to be higher protein but I wasn’t sure if there was a specific type of feed. I think I read somewhere turkey starter and finisher for the first 6 weeks? But then I read somewhere meatbird feed too. Then I read somewhere 18 to 20 percent protein while elsewhere I read like 22 to 24 or even 26 or 30 sometimes. :barnie
I feed game bird flight developer.

Theres a few peeps that say they built some feeders that don't allow the birds to waste as much as regular feeders, idk, I've been feeding quail for years and just go with the fact, they are going to waste feed.
I feed all my birds 24% protein feed. Too high of protein and you'll 'burn them up', too little and they don't reproduce very well, alot of nutritional defects will occur, weak chicks etc. ;)
I wouldn't start out with a lot of birds, get a handle on how to hatch, raise and maintain a small number before going crazy off the chain on getting every color you can find. :old
