I flipped 5 houses in 5 years. I would say I probably have more experience at construction so it's pretty straight forward for me. The project would be coming along faster if I still had my building partner but he just can't do the work any longer. He nearly took his eye out trying to help me when I installing the rafter extensions!!

I'm sure you and your DH are doing just fine. It takes time to gain experience. And I bet you will have a great sense of satisfaction when you are done. Not to mention how happy the cats will be! You will need to show us some progress pictures. I'd love to see them.

Yep. Those are 2' overhangs. Go big or go home.
I'll be adding bracing on the rake overhangs to support them when the painting is done.
