Good morning Cafe.
Coffee is made.
We brew up here some years.
The hens have started fighting. Some of those who wanted to sit and hatch but I wouldn't let are having a go at those who either have hatched or are sitting. Who said jealousy is a human only emotion.

Looks like there was a party going on here last night...empty glasses on the tables, chairs knocked over, Sean in a chandelier...

Better make a big urn of coffee this morning to help any of you suffering ill effects

Two more days left to work on the coop before returning to the Rat Race. Apparently I cannot pay the bills around here by working on a chicken coop. Bummer. It's a lot more fun than corporate America.

Hey, maybe if you add coop building to your house flipping biz, you can be a corporate dropout!

Looking forward to seeing the finished coop...in your last photo everything was looking good. Are you going to enter the coop build contest?

I was going to enter if I can finish in time!
I hope to have the bulk of the coop done by the end of next weekend. I'm PT so I have 4 day weekends. That certainly helps with moving right along on the coop. And the week off I just took.
But then I have to build the run and I'm setting it on piers so that is 10 holes to dig through hardpan clay, down 42". I hope the ground is thawed through the entire depth.

Yes. They'll be here about 4/25 or 26.
