Afternoon cafe

I had a nap this afternoon and made fresh coffee.

Went to my folks for strawberry waffles and bacon this morning. Hours passed like minutes but it was so good to see them. I took Frankie through drive thru at the pharmacy after we got home, then the nap. So happy dinner is just a reheat.

Thanks for the coffee IM. Got to the Café late today. Winners stake at the BC this afternoon, and we never completed until 4:30. Color me tired.

I don't buy shop meat normally. This lot came from the guys down the track and they got it from people they know who night hunt on the next mountain.
I'm not very good at describing taste. It doesn't really taste like pork at all to me, but that's probably because I can only compare it to the pork I used to buy in the supermarket or butchers. I like it. It tends to be much darker meat and nothing like the amount of fat I would normally associate with pork.

That was nice of them to share with you! I’ve never had it, but I can imagine those crazy running beasts have much less fat than their wallowing cousins.

Good morning! I'm still up waiting to get sleepy enough to go to bed. My hours have been pretty screwed up since we have to give Peekaboo meds every 8 hours. She seems much improved and spent the day outside with the flock foraging and running around. She is getting suspicious toward me because I'm putting medicine in her beak so often. Guess I'll have to rebuild the relationship after the meds are done.

Hope you are doing well this morning, and really hope you can get your speakers fixed pretty soon. I totally get missing your loud music! I need to get my old school EV studio monitors re-coned. The felt on the old woofer cones just deteriorated over time. Deep south humidity takes a toll on everything too.

I usually get two or three easy days and then they get progressively more difficult to get the meds down.

Yeah, the midnight dose is the worst. She won't even accept a treat/apology, cause she's tired and sleep deprived. (Me too )

Dogs must be easier to medicate. Never needed to hide anything in hamburger. Pushed a pill down throat, held jaws closed with one hand, rubbed the throat downward with the other. When the dog licked his nose - he swallowed.

This is Fat Bird and Treacle!!!
Fat Bird (she's almost nine years old) normally wouldn't let some young rooster anywhere near her. What's more, yesterday I saw Fat Bird crouch for Treacle.
Fat Bird has got a toy boy.
