BYC Café

Morning! 2 inches of snow here, fog and general freezingness. Thanks for the HOT coffee.
NFC, it is going to flood... .
We moved the teens over to the big house yesterday, or I should say DH moved their dog house and it took some wrangling and darkness and snow to get them to go into their new digs. We shall see how this all works out. They have been freeranging and hanging out with the biggies for a couple of weeks, but this sleeping together is a big step... :lau
Off to the chore-time twilight so have a wonderful day you all!

NOOOOOOOO! We've seen photos and videos of the last time the golf course flooded (it's happened at least 3 times we've heard of). Total destruction of 25 acres of manicured grass, huge trees uprooted, buildings totaled, etc. Really, really do not want to go through that rebuilding process!

Good morning Cafe.
Thanks for posting that article, @Shadrach. I enjoyed it. I, too, couldn't access it on the link you provided.
@Mtn Margie, I don't know how you deal with snow this late in the year. I couldn't take it. You, too, @N F C!
Seems we can't get a break from the constant rain here. I got the lawn tractor stuck in the mud yet again yesterday as I was racing around the property trying to get the grass cut before another storm unloaded. My lawn literally has algae growing in the ponds that won't dry up.
I finally broke down and took Fuji in for that surgery I talked about last winter. I had changed my mind the day of her surgery the last time it was scheduled. I didn't today.
She's been admitted. I found a second small MCT on her chest wall in addition to the one at her tail base. I had the Dr. order a vial of Vetalog to inject in both tumor excision sites to hopefully prevent recurrence. We are now up to 6 MCTs removed from this little dog over the last 6.5 years. So I'll be on pins and needles the rest of the day worrying about her.

Keeping my fingers crossed for your pet.
Goodmorning café. Windy, windy, windy here.

We probably are not getting rain because our gutters are up and connected to the rain barrel for the garden!
Hulu has a new series based on the Catch 22 book

If it is going to happen, this would be a likely Year!

I hope not though

Within 5 minutes of posting my morning greeting and update the vet called to tell me that they will not be doing Fuji's surgery. Her EKG indicated arrhythmias and PVCs and she needs to see a cardiologist. I asked the Dr. to get me an appointment at Cornell for her. Three of my Dobermans have had DCM so I am no stranger to canine cardiology issues. I just don't expect them with a min pin.
