leftover whitetail backstrap, chicken fried by me last night, then made a homemade brrown gravy and homemade mashed taters!!!

I don't get to deer hunt anymore, but my 14 year old goes with his dad, who guides down in south Texas.

eta: the freaky cull he got to shoot.

Nice!! Meat tastes the same as a pretty rack...

I think its cool though.

two years ago, he got to take a cull that went 120" 8 pt.

last year he culled a 100" 6 pt

and he gets lots of does, pigs and javelinas.........I'm glad he and his dad get to do this together.
