Husband says the next time he sees a copperhead, will be the last time he sees it. Worried it might bite one of us , or the dogs.

It's just hit 104 F here. At above 107 F the chickens can no longer transfer heat from body to environment. I'm not expecting much chicken movement for the next couple of hours.

That's a warm one...for both you and the chickens. I've seen pictures of your house, it looks like it would be cool in the summer. You might have to have them all come in for a cool off

Tribe 1 is already here.
Tribe 2 are on the steps to the vegetable garden under their favorite bush.
Tribe 3 are under the car port where they catch the breeze.
Tribe 4 are on one of the shady banks.
The only nutter out in the sun is me as I check the water points.

Morning! That is getting hot over there, Shad.
I can still appreciate a fine cup of hot coffee around here. I think the high this week is supposed to be 77 and the other day the wind was so cold, I actually put my thermies on to take the sheep out to graze. This is a wonky season for sure.
However, my green beans are up and thriving after being covered and babied from the snow that came through. Now I need a hail cover and a critter keeper outer and I just might get a real green bean or two.
