Ben turned 8 in February.
He tested negative for Lyme. I found a swollen muscle in his back when I was waiting for the results of the Lyme test. When the doc pressed down on both sides of Ben's back, he locked right up.
We are going to go with rest, a muscle relaxer and the Novox for about 12 days.

Poor Fuji came home from Cornell with a 24-hr Holter monitor. It's huge on her. She could barely get up the front steps.
She has chronic degenerative valve disease, supraventricular tachycardia that causes her heart to beat too fast and her right atrium is firing off extra beats. The vet said that the CVD was in the early stages as she is asymptomatic so she thinks it will respond to treatment but will wait until the Holter monitor results have been evaluated. She does not feel that Fuji is at risk for sudden death. That is what took two of my Dobies.

I did not realize it was your birthday, Sour. I hope you had a GREAT day!!
Well, that's good news about Ben! Do you have any animal chiropractors around there? It sounded pretty odd to me when I first heard of it, but the guy around here does a wonder on horses.

Poor Fuji. How long does she wear the Holter? I didn't know they put those on dogs. I think my pa had to wear it for 4-5 days and then they sent it off to California to be read.

Ben seems to be doing very well on the pain meds and muscle relaxer.
Fuji has to wear that thing until today at 3:00. I can't wait to get it off her. The poor girl was so uncomfortable last night.
