They can be disgusting for sure. I don't understand why they roll around in nasty stinky stuff to begin with.

that's how I do dinner too. When my son is here and he asks what I'm making, I say
"Chef's surprise!" Next thing I know he is taking me to a restaurant.

Last boyfriend hated tuna noodle casserole. I never made it. Just saying the words worked. BUT, he would eat at some restaurant and leave me to my "pretend" casserole.

I should say he wasn't that clever but that's how how he treated his ex-wife. She 'forgot' to tell me that.
